$25 a month. One child. A full K–12 guarantee — from first grade to high school graduation and beyond. This is the most direct way to break the vicious cycle of poverty through education.
The Program
What is Sponsor-A-Child?
Sponsor-A-Child provides an opportunity to make a long-lasting impact in a child’s life. Through this program, backed by your generous support, GIFT ensures that a child is able to go to school and remain in school until he or she graduates from high school.
At that point, based on the child’s and family’s circumstances, GIFT creates a plan for further education on one of three tracks:

University Track
Full academic degree path — BA, BS, or higher education leading to a professional career.

Specialty Track
Certification programs in specific professional or vocational specializations.
🔧
Vocational Track
Skills-based trade training for children best suited to hands-on professional careers.
Why It Works
Breaking the Cycle, One Family at a Time
Poverty is both the cause and the effect of insufficient access to education. GIFT’s Sponsor-A-Child program is specifically designed to break this cycle. During our seven-year pilot project, we proved time and again that by focusing on the education of all children in a family, the cycle can be broken.
This approach is contagious. It creates a ripple effect of positive change that spreads through extended families and entire neighborhoods.

💳 How much does it cost?
$25/month or $300/year per child. To support an entire family (average 4 children), we recommend $100/month — the cost of a single meal out per week.
👥 A member of our team works with each family
A GIFT mentor and education consultant works with every selected family to understand their situation and scope of support — covering both consultative guidance and financial assistance (fees, books, uniforms, tutoring, transport, boarding).
🔒 Can I know the child’s name?
Due to privacy concerns, we do not share the names of the children being supported. Rest assured your donation is fully verified and accounted for.
🤲 Is Zakah accepted?
Yes. All Zakah recipients are verified through multi-layer validation: self-reported financials, reference checks, and in-person validation by a GIFT team representative.
